Legendary Pictures to present a trilogy based on Superpower Thriller Novel 'Brilliance'

Summary: Marcus Sakey's upcoming novel 'Brilliance' will be a part of trilogy being worked at Legendary Pictures.

Marcus Sakey's upcoming novel 'Brilliance' has found its way to the Legendary Pictures studio to be a part of a trilogy.

Joe Roth and his Roth Films partner Palek Patel will produce the sci-fi flick and Alex Hedlund will represent Legendary Pictures.

Sakey is repped by CAA and Scott Miller at Trident Media Group.

The book is due to hit stores in July this year.

The story mainly takes its cue from X-Men -- In a world where a rare set of people are born with extraordinary abilities and are called “brilliants.” At the center of the story is a federal agent with great hunting gifts who is drafted to hunt down a terrorist, another such brilliant who intends to start a civil war.
