After Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan made their exit from Karan Johar's Shuddhi, rumours of Deepika and Ranveer replacing them were rife. However, the two hot stars of B-town refused being approached with this plum role. Deepika Padukone confirmed in an interview, that she was not offered this role. Ranveer Singh, on his end, also confirmed that he had not been approached for Shuddhi and the news was just an untrue rumor.
