Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who's been ruling the box-office for over two decades now, has stated that though films are the 'core' of his living, he never thought that he'd be an actor. At a recently held event when Khan was asked if there is any pressure on him to lead his life a certain way he said, "I never thought of working for prosperity or posterity. I never thought that I'd be an actor but I have become one and I feel very happy that Mumbai, India and the entire world has given me so much. I don't think of how properly I have to lead this life but when I get up in the morning, I just hope that my today's work turns out to be better than yesterday's." "Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't and I'm not saying this with false humility because I believe that when a man is doing the same work since 22 years, then there is a certain kind of honesty in his work which is beyond what we read and hear. So for me what I do on the sets in the morning is the core of my living and I don't think about what has happened and what is going to happen," he further added. Khan is presently working on Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Chennai Express, which stars Deepika Padukone opposite him. -- Published on April 16, 2013
