Look out, Schwarzenegger is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. That's right, The Arnold nabs a another new leading role in Hollywood, in The Toxic Avegner Reboot. Now, the action star, turned governor, turned back action star will not be playing The Toxic Avenger himself, but Variety is reporting that he will play a vital role in Toxies development as his the mentor character called The Exterminator. The Toxic Avenger was an action comedy that was a bit campy, but developed a huge fan following back in 1984 when the original, Loyd Kaufman directed movie was first released, and is now considered a cult classic. The toxic story follows Melvin Ferd the third (man what a name) who was a bit of a dorky type, who worked as a janitor. And Melvin was tormented and bullied most of is life, until one day he falls into a vat of toxic waste. He's severly difigured from this, looking a lot like a monster, but also finds that he has acquired some special super mutant powers. Schwarzenegger's character is a former black ops agent who will be in charge of teaching the Toxic Avenger how to use his newly found superpowers for good. The reboot with be written and directed by Hot Tub Time Machine scribe, Mr. Steve Pink, and principle photography is set to start this fall. Schwarzenegger is fighting for an acting career comback, but his last movie, The Last Stand, did not fair too well at the box office. And that's putting it lightly. But Toxic Avenger producer Michael Benaroya isn't too concerned about Arnold having what it takes to make this movie memorable saying quote "Moviegoers around the world were thrilled when Arnold Schwarzenegger returned to acting so effortlessly filling the gap that he left behind....He is the ultimate action hero with a natural comedic versatility and will be pitch perfect in 'The Toxic Avenger.'"
