Classic nerd flick, Weird Science, gets rebooted. Now I know, I know what some of you are thinking. Hold on let me tap into my psychicness...No one could ever be successful in remaking, John Hughe's 1985 cult classic comedy, right? Well, according to Deadline, Universal Pictures is going to give it a shot. They have tapped 21 Jump Street screenwriter, Michael Bacall, to write the script which is said to be not as much of a direct "remake" as it is a redrawn version of the story. It's rumored to be a bit edgier, losing that old PG-13 rating and upgrading to rated R. The film will also be produced by Joel Silver, who worked with John Hughes himself on the original. The original story was about two high school nerds, who took to their computers to create the perfect woman, so that all of their high school bullies would be jealous.
