Hey guys im tatiana carrier for clevver movies coming to you from our Hollywood headquarters after a very long and relaxing MLK weekend! The big question here is, what movies did you check out over the holiday! Heres the box office re cap so you can see where all your fellow movie buffs bucks went!
Coming in at number one was new release, Contraband. The To protect his brother-in-law from a drug lord, a former smuggler (played by Mark Walhberg) heads to Panama to score millions of dollars in counterfeit bills. Universals thriller brought in 28.8 million throughout the weekend.
Coming in 2nd was a favorite of mine, the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast this time in 3D! Belle and beast brought in 23.5 million throughout the weekend and definitely drew in the family crowd for the weekend.
Tom Cruise holds on strong, a MONTH now to be exact in the top five in 3rd place with Mission Impossible Ghost Protocal. This weekend the action thriller brought in 14.2 million for a grand total of 189,4 million so far! I don't know about you guys, but this seems like a mission success in the box office world!
IN 4th place was the other opener, Joyful Noise which brought in 13.8 million throughout the weekend. Joyful noise is about G.G. Sparrow who faces off with her choir's newly appointed director, Vi Rose Hill, over the group's direction as they head into a national competition.
And finally, last but Certainly NOT least, our two boys sherlock and watson are still at it with Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows with $10.5 million, for a total cume of $172.1 million at the box office so far!
